Modelling is all about impression, image,  how you portray yourself and of course how others see you. Before deciding whether modelling work is right for you please take a few minutes of your time to read through this page. Modelling... is this for you?  Please read this carefully!

If accepted on Promo1 you will not be asked for any payment what so ever. Profiles are created free of charge and there are no subscription charges. You do not need to have any previous experience to be considered for Promo1.

Getting into modelling is not a 'get rich quick' thing, and however good you are or indeed the agency you are with, there are never any guarantees. Reliability is paramount in this industry. Many a model has lost all chances of getting anywhere purely because the are unreliable. When a booking is made it must be upheld. Turning up late for an assignment, what ever or where ever it is will never be acceptable, worse still not getting there at all. It reflects badly on all concerned and once a client has been let down they will never come back.
 
Appearance is also very important. If you know you have an assignment on a certain day be responsible and do not stay up half the night drinking and partying or it will show on your face the following day. If you are tired or worse still suffering from a hangover, you will not look good and your performance will be below standard. This  again will cause the client to look else where next time. To be on the safe side make sure you have everything you need such as clothes, make-up, hairstyling products or  whatever ready on the day before you work. If necessary even write yourself a check list and include on that such things as travel details if they apply, train tickets, hotel reservations and so on.

Remember, if you are travelling any distance to leave in plenty of time as it is much better to arrive to early than be late. Give yourself far more time than you think you will need to allow for such things as road accidents and closures if you are going by car, train cancellations and diversions if you are using public transport. If you are rushing to get to your destination due to leaving late this is at the very least stressful and will show when you arrive and at the very worst you may have an accident and never arrive.
 
The spotlight will always be on you! Whether it be a fashion show or a photo shoot you will need to maintain a consistently high standard of behaviour. Be responsible, don't have too much to drink do not go away from where you are working unless authorised by the client and even then do not go alone or with someone you don't know.
 
Agencies earn their money when you have completed an assignment. The better your performance and attitude the more work you are likely to get. Models who posses the right attitude and looks are fairly rare so the ones that do will be the ones that are remembered and subsequently given further bookings. As you get better and more experienced you will be become better known and this will be reflected in the rates agencies will charge for you.
 
Finally... Always remember to be responsible, be reliable and be safe!
